I had been working an unfulfilling corporate 9-5 job for years prior to this trip. When I came across this trip, I hopped on a plane 2 days later not quite knowing what to expect. As I sit in the airport I can't help but be overwhelmed with gratitude for this once in a lifetime opportunity. 2023 has been, without a doubt, the most challenging year of my life. It sounds cliche but growing up I always felt like I didn't belong, that I was meant for MORE. And no, that doesn't mean I think I'm better than anyone (in fact it's the opposite - I felt like I wasn't on the path I was *destined* for and I felt envious of those who were perfectly content where they were. I kept thinking "lord why the HECK do I not want the same things as everyone around me!? I feel so alone!!"

Fast-forward to being an adult— for the first time in the past 2 years I have met others that can resonate with this same exact feeling.... We had lunch with the mountains today. No words, just gratitude. When life gets crazy and hard, I'll remember this moment and our group and I will know that God is 100% with me always. Switzerland is absolutely magical!

Canyon swing: Omg. I knew I was nervous going into this activity, but l've been hyping myself up about it not realizing how actually hard it is to step off the platform and into a 300ft free fall. I'm so grateful to our group for cheering me on and supporting me in this moment. It was probably the scariest thing l've done and also one of the most rewarding. I've learned many lessons in my life so far but these two lessons have been validated on repeat through out this whole vacation. 1. I can do hard things. 2. Having the support from friends in all situations, especially the scary times, makes all the difference.

I had the most amazing experience at Lake Tahoe! The stunning beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains made for an unforgettable hiking trip. It was also my first time snowboarding, a moment I will cherish forever. What made it even more special was the opportunity to bond with a group, all of whom were strangers to me at first. Our shared experiences and adventures created lasting memories that I will always treasure. This retreat exceeded all my expectations and I can't wait to do it all over again!

As a mom who is constantly in search of real genuine memories with others is something that my heart always craves. I always had friends that would want to take a trip but never went through with it.
